Checking for blockages

Always disconnect the vacuum cleaner from the mains before carrying out any cleaning or maintenance.
To prevent a loss of suction, ensure any removable accessories/filters are assembled and aligned correctly.
- 1.
To check the floor head for blockages, press the release button, then pull the floor head away from the extension tube.
- 2.
Check for any blockages and remove using a pair of long nose pliers.
- 3.
Push the floor head onto the extension tube until you hear a click.
- 4.
To check the extension tube for blockages, press the release button, then pull the floor head away from the extension tube.
- 5.
Press the release button, then pull the extension tube away from the handheld unit.
- 6.
Check for any blockage and remove using a pair of long nose pliers or a long thin piece of wire.
- 7.
Push the extension tube onto the handheld unit until you hear a click.
- 8.
Push the floor head onto the extension tube until you hear a click.
- 9.
To check the pre-motor filter for blockages, remove the pre-motor filter and check for and remove any blockages.
