Checking for blockages

After each wash cycle, check that there are no objects or substances left in the drum. Check for any damage caused by objects.

Check the pump filter for blockages. Loose items such as coins, buttons from clothing or hairgrips may have got stuck in the pump housing, which could prevent the pump from removing water.

Check for blockages in the drain hose and any waste-water pipework that’s connected and could prevent the waste water draining away effectively.
- 4. Check that the blanking plug or removable end has been taken off the waste pipe spigot.
- 5. The washing machine has small drainage holes in the door seal. Pull back the seal to check, if the drainage holes are blocked, use something like a toothpick to unblock it.
