Using the grill

Warning: The oven door must remain open at all times when using the grill.

Always: Fit the heat shield when grilling. Not using could result in damage to your appliance.

Always use an oven glove when using the grill, as the metal parts will get very hot.

Ensure the grill pan handle is always central when attached to the grill pan.

Always remove the grill pan handle from the grill pan when grilling as the handle will get very hot.

Open the oven door.

2.

Move the oven rack to the desired position in the oven.

Ensure that the oven rack is low enough so that food does not touch the flame.


Ensure the oven rack is pushed to the back of the oven.

Fit the heat shield. Hold the grill heat shield so that the triangular image is facing upwards and the point of the triangle is pointing towards the cooker.

Line up the slots in the grill heat shield with the two protruding screws between the oven door and the underside of the control panel.

5.

Push the grill heat shield firmly towards the oven, securing it in place.

Important: Always fit the heat shield when grilling. Not using it could result in damage to your appliance.

Turn and press the desired oven control knob clockwise to the Grill position, at the same time press and hold in the ignition button until the grill heating element is alight.

7.

Keep the oven control knob and ignition button pressed down for at least 5 seconds.

8.

Once lit, ensure the flame is even.

Note: The temperature of the grill cannot be adjusted.

9.

Using oven gloves, place the grill pan onto the oven rack.

10.

Remove the grill pan handle.

11.

Occasionally using oven gloves attach the grill pan handle, remove the grill pan and turn the food until cooked.

12.

Turn the oven control knob to 0.

13. Using oven gloves attach the grill pan handle, remove the grill pan.

14.

Before closing the door, remove the grill heat shield.

15.

Close the oven door.
